The 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women opens today at the United Nations 🇺🇳

Under the theme “Ensuring and Strengthening Access to Justice”, the UAE will take part in discussions with Member States and international partners over the coming two weeks to support global efforts advancing gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.

The UAE was endorsed as a member of the Advisory Board on the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics during the 57th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission in New York.

This milestone reflects global confidence in the UAE’s leadership in official statistics and data governance, and its commitment to advancing transparent, reliable, and future-ready statistical systems worldwide.

During the 57th session of the UN Statistical Commission in New York, the UAE reaffirmed its role in supporting international collaboration and advancing statistical development at both regional and global levels 🌍

على هامش الدورة الـ57 للجنة الإحصائية للأمم المتحدة، رُشِّحت دولة الإمارات، لعضوية المجلس الاستشاري للمبادئ الأساسية للإحصاءات الرسمية، في أول تمثيل للمنطقة في هذا المجلس.

ومن خلال هذه العضوية، ستسهم دولة الإمارات في تعزيز حوكمة البيانات، وتطوير الإحصاءات الرسمية، والاستفادة من الذكاء الاصطناعي والتقنيات الناشئة، بما يدعم صناعة القرار المبني على البيانات.

On the sidelines of the 57th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission, the UAE was nominated to serve as a member of the Consultative Advisory Board on the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics, marking the first representation from the region.

In this role, the UAE will contribute to strengthening data governance, advancing official statistics, leveraging AI and emerging technologies, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
