تمتلك القطط جفنًا ثالثًا يُعرف بالغشاء الرامش، يقع في الزاوية الداخلية للعين. يعمل هذا الجفن كطبقة حماية إضافية للقرنية، ويساعد على ترطيب العينين، وإزالة الغبار والشوائب، كما يوزّع الدموع بشكل منتظم للحفاظ على وضوح الرؤية

Cats have a third eyelid, called the nictitating membrane, located in the inner corner of the eye. It is an additional protective layer for the cornea, keeps the eyes moist, clears away dust and debris, and evenly spreads tears across the surface to maintain clear vision.
