Combined Joint Task Force Paladin has ended its mission in Afghanistan, with responsibility for the remaining mission being assumed by the 242d Ordnance Battalion. Due to personnel redeployments, this page will not be maintained after today.
Countless people - U.S., coalition and Afghan - are alive today because members of CJTF Paladin performed the vital mission of defeating the improvised explosive device threat in Afghanistan. We'd like to thank everybody who has served with CJTF Paladin and those who have supported CJTF Paladin, whether here in Afghanistan, back home or elsewhere in the world. Together we have made a difference.

CJTF Paladin held one final awards ceremony Jan. 5 to recognize the people who went above and beyond in closing out the headquarters in preparation for redeployment. They assisted in turning in almost 2,500 property book items in two weeks. Several Soldiers also received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for their work in making the Bagram community a better place for everybody.
