Official page of TF Solid, composed of troops from the 101st Airborne Division, country of Georgia, Czech Republic, US Air Force, and US Marine Corps.

Task Force Solid provides security for Bagram Air Field in eastern Afghanistan. The headquarters is led by the 21st Engineer Battalion from 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne Division. The team includes soldiers from the country of Georgia and the Czech Republic, supported by US Marines and US Air Force security forces.

MG Rainey Coin Presentation 16/10/2015

Maj. Gen. Jim Rainey, US Forces Afghanistan Deputy Commander-Support, and his Senior Enlisted Advisor, Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher Gilpin, visited Task Force Solid Oct. 14, 2015. Maj. Gen. Rainey presented eight Soldiers with his Commander's Coin in appreciation for their hard work over the past nine months.

Czech Force Protection Companies transfer authority 05/10/2015

"To the Soldiers of the 4th Force Protection Company, well done," Lt. Col. Zachary Miller, TF Solid commander, said. "The hundreds of patrols, covering thousands of kilometers, and countless engagements with the people of Afghanistan have truly made a difference. I strongly believe that when we look back at this period of Bagram's history years from now, your tour of duty will be the gold standard against which Resolute Support forces are measured."

Czech Force Protection Companies transfer authority A ceremony was held to transfer authority from Czech 4th Force Protection Company to Czech 5th Force Protection Company.

Military Working Dog Care Packages 25/07/2015

Military working dogs of Task Force Solid received several care packages from back in the U.S. earlier this month. The dogs wasted no time pawing through the boxes and had a ball playing with the assortment of toys they contained. Military Working Dog Training - Task Force Solid 05/07/2015

Military working dogs and their handlers conducted explosives-detection and bite training on Bagram Airfield recently. These well-trained dogs provide a valuable capability to Task Force Solid's security operations on Bagram Airfield and throughout the Bagram Ground Defense Area. Their service has led to the detention of force protection threats and the seizure of illicit materials.

The dogs and handlers featured in this album include:
Andy and his handler, Specialist Anthony Andrews;
Niko and his handler, Specialist Craig Holbrook; and
Alex and his handler, Specialist Ethan Taylor.
Also participating in the training was Sergeant Joseph Robinson.

TF Solid Halfway Point Party & Promotions/Awards Ceremony 05/07/2015

Task Force Solid commanders and staff gathered at the Jirga Center on Bagram Aifield in late June to celebrate the halfway point of its deployment. TF Solid Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Zachary L. Miller, was joined by Colonel Douglas C. Crissman, the US Forces Afghanistan Deputy Commander for Support, to present end-of-tour and impact awards to select U.S., Czech, and Georgian Soldiers. Following the awards, Privates First Class Keegan Cross and Zachary Sorensen were advanced to Specialist, while Sergeant Francis Werring received a surprise battlefield promotion to Staff Sergeant. MG Semonite & CSM Biggs Visit TF Solid 02/07/2015

Major General Todd T. Semonite, the Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan (CSTC-A) Commanding General, visited Task Force Solid at Bagram Airfield in late June. CSTC-A is the NATO organization responsible for training, advising, and assisting Afghan counterparts under Operation Resolute Support. MG Semonite and his senior enlisted advisor, Command Sergeant Major Paul E. Biggs, spoke with TF Solid leaders about building the capabilities and capacity of Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, empasizing the vital systems and processes NATO is imparting on them. ANA/ANP Distribute Humanitarian Aid 29/06/2015

Afghan National Army Soldiers, together with Afghan National Police (ANP), distributed humanitarian aid to Afghan children across seven villages in the Bagram Ground Defense Area in mid-June. The humanitarian aid, facilitated by Task Force Solid, consisted of clothing, blankets, shoes, and school supplies.
