آزادی مطبوعات قربانی سکوت در برابر جنایت است

وقتی جنایتکاران، جلادان، قاتلان و مافیای مواد مخدر در پناه قدرت به کار و بار خود ادامه می‌دهند، آزادی‌ست که مورد تجاوز قرار می‌گیرد!

در روزی که جهان به پاس آزادی مطبوعات گرد هم می‌آید و از نقش کلیدی خبرنگاران در دفاع از حقیقت سخن می‌گوید، افغانستان با حقیقتی تلخ روبه‌روست: خبرنگاران ما به جای امنیت، در ترس به‌سر می‌برند؛ به جای حمایت، تهدید می‌شوند؛ و به جای آزادی، در زنجیر سانسور گرفتارند.

در چنین شرایط خفقان‌آور و دشوار، من با تمام وجود همبستگی خود را با خبرنگاران آزاده افغانستان اعلام می‌کنم؛ با آنانی که در برابر فساد، بی‌عدالتی، و جنایت سکوت نکرده‌اند و بهای ایستادگی‌شان را با جان و آینده خود می‌پردازند.

روز جهانی آزادی مطبوعات، یادآور این است که خاموشی در برابر ظلم، خیانت به حقیقت است.
تا زمانی که قلم به اسارت کشیده شود، هیچ جامعه‌ای آزاد نخواهد بود.

Press Statement of Afghan Journalists Federation about Illegal Elections of the Federation

The Federation of Journalists & Media Support Organizations declares that the latest attempts of a number of opportunistic individuals to take over the Federation of Media Support Organizations is against the country’s media law and the statute of the Federation and is subject to prosecution. A few days ago, a number of individuals who are not members of the leadership of the Federation attempted to take over the Federation by organizing elections for the chairmanship of the Federation without having the legal or administrative authority to organize such elections. The main intention of these individuals is to hijack the Federation and through that create proximity with the Taliban government.

Based on the statute of the Federation, any elections for the leadership of the organization can happen when two thirds of the members of the Federation are present in the elections. In the absence of this quota, any elections is invalid and does not carry any legitimacy. Therefore, the leadership of the Federation strongly condemns this act.

Since the collapse of Afghanistan to the Taliban, leadership of the Federation has attempted to carry out its operations in the international level under a new framework so that it can help protect the values of press freedom and freedom of expression in Afghanistan.

The leadership of the Federation also considers these purposeful and fateful attempts of certain individuals a threat to the ideals of press freedom in Afghanistan. The Federation of Afghanistan’s Media Support Organizations, which was created 8 years ago with the goal of safeguarding press freedom and freedom of expression, is committed to promoting impartial and professional journalism in Afghanistan and does not allow any activities in support of a certain person or political entity.

بازداشت و شکنجه و تهدید روزنامه نگاران افغان راه حل نیست .
اگر حاکمان کابل فکر می‌کنند با اینگونه رفتار صحرائی شان، صدای آزادی بیان و رسانه ها را می‌توانند خاموش بسازند، اشتباه فکر کردند و نمی توانند .
در تازه ترین مورد، امشب شاه پور فرهمند از روزنامه نگاران ارشد افغان را گروه طالبان بازداشت و تهدید به مرگ کردند، و تمامی اسناد و وسایل روزنامه نگاري اورا مورد جستحو قرار دادند .
و در مورد دیگری گروه تالیبان دیروز آقای حاجی عارف نوری ریس شبکه تلويزيون نورین را بازداشت کردند و تا هنوز از سرنوشت‌ او خبری نیست .
