Antigua and Barbuda Flag

The flag of Antigua and Barbuda was adopted on February 27, 1967 and was designed by the teacher of a school named Reginald Samuels.
The gold sun symbolizes the dawn of a new era, the blue symbolizes hope, the red represents the dynamism of the people, the white our sandy beaches and the black our African heritage.

The Tamarind tree! One of many big trees on the island and found around the Caribbean and some Asian Countries. Tamarind is a fruit used in making jams, jelly, juices, marinade and can sometimes be very sour or fairly sweet. Of course thin strong branches were sometimes used as a whip to discipline children. Was on tour on Monday, when Isabel draw my attention to this stone on the ground that had a smiley face, lol! Was the start of a day filled with smiles and laughter.

Did you know that Fitzroy Elmo Drew is a musician??? He plays Bass guitar here on the island and is featured along with"The Axis Band and "Just Friends! Look out for him at your resort or at the Shirley's Heights Lookout party once every month.
