*THE GOLDEN SUN* – symbolizes the dawn of a new era.
*RED* – symbolizes the dynamism of the people.
*BLUE* – symbolizes hope.
*BLACK* – symbolizes the soil and our African heritage.
*GOLD, BLUE and WHITE* together represent Antigua and Barbuda’s tourist attractions – Sun, Sea and Sand.

The Ministry of Creative Industries and Innovation is sending out a clarion call to all Residents, Citizens and Friends of Antiguan and Barbuda to participate and celebrate in ALL of our 41st Anniversary of Independence activities.

This Independence, let’s put our beautiful twin island on display by showing that there is unity and strength in the coming together of family and friends on one of Antigua and Barbuda’s beautiful beaches.

Bring your picnic baskets and blankets, light up the grill and let's have a fun and family-oriented day. Play beach cricket with the coconut bough, football with small sea grape branch goals, or a game of warri or dominos under the shade of palm trees. Capture the moments this is the perfect opportunity to relive the good old days of picnicking with family, friends, church groups and social organizations.
