Earlier this year, the Department of Environment, through the SLIM Project, supported a hands-on Electric Vehicle Safety and End-of-Life Electric Vehicle Workshop right here in Antigua and Barbuda. Participants from emergency services, government agencies, vehicle businesses, and education partners came together to learn practical skills for handling EVs safely — from battery management to emergency response.

The workshop also included live demonstrations and equipment training to help strengthen national readiness as electric mobility continues to grow across the region. 🌱🔋

We’re excited to keep building knowledge, partnerships, and safer systems for a cleaner transport future.
