🚨 Official Update – No Tsunami Threat for Anguilla🚨

Date: June 8th, 2026
Following a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in the Cuba region, there is *NO* tsunami danger to Anguilla.
✔️ No action is required
✔️ Continue normal activities
✔️ Stay informed through Anguilla DDM for updates

Your safety remains our priority, ensure to rely on official sources and avoid spreading unverified information.

The Atlantic Hurricane Season is here. Preparation today can make all the difference tomorrow. Secure important documents, stock essential supplies, review your family emergency plan, and stay informed through official updates.

The general public is asked to note that a Search and Rescue Exercise was held this morning at The Forest Bay and the National Emergency Operations Centre.

There is no cause for concern.

Emergency Response Agencies worked together in what was to be a realistic exercise.

No action is required from the public at this time.

🎙️ Presented by Mr. Eliot Christian (Alert Hub), this session will provide an overview of CAP and its application for tsunami warning dissemination across the region.

This training forms part of WG3’s ongoing efforts to strengthen tsunami warning communication systems in the Caribbean, in coordination with WMO, ITU, and the IOC-UNESCO Tsunami Programme.
