Today we celebrated the official opening of Shared Life, Shared Perspectives at the Tirana Mosaic — a photography exhibition by six contemporary Ukrainian artists exploring what it means to lose a home, search for one, or find one again.

A collaboration with Open Eye Gallery Liverpool, the work traces Ukraine's hardest years, from the annexation of Crimea in 2014 to the ongoing full-scale invasion.

As Kyiv continues to face sustained attacks, these images remind us why home is always worth defending.

📍 Come and see it for yourself at the Tirana Mosaic — open now until 9 November.

The masterclass with British animator Tim Allen, held as part of the British-Ukrainian Cultural Week 2026, attracted exceptional interest from animators, students, artists and cinema enthusiasts. 🎥

With more than 25 years of experience working on productions such as Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Isle of Dogs and Co**se Bride, Allen shared with the audience not only the secrets of stop-motion animation, but also how a character is built with patience, dedication and meticulous attention to the smallest detail.

✨ Through examples from his own work, Tim Allen demonstrated the extraordinary passion behind this art form and the lengthy process of bringing life, character and emotion to each creation.

The audience’s interest continued even after the masterclass, with questions, discussions and conversations with the artist lasting for hours. A wonderful testament to the curiosity and enthusiasm sparked by this unique experience. 🇬🇧🇺🇦🇦🇱

British Ambassador, Nicholass Abbott, held a roundtable discussion with leading private healthcare operators in Albania, including UK companies, for an open discussion on the sector's current challenges.

Industry representatives raised concerns about the impact of a potential healthcare reform, and we were glad to listen directly to their perspectives.

Conversations like this one help the UK stay closely connected to the realities on the ground in Albania's private sector and the economic and health security of the country. 🇬🇧🇦🇱

Today, Ambassador Abbott, saw first-hand the impact of the British Embassy Charity Event on the children at the Institute for Children with Hearing Impairments and the Institute for Children with Visual Impairments.

The new kitchen equipment for QBNND, and the didactic studio equipment for QBNSH are already making a real difference in their daily lives. It was wonderful to witness this impact and visit their facilities.

Moments like this show what coming together towards a common goal can achieve. 🇦🇱🤝🇬🇧
