Tras años de trabajo conjunto, Fiqus cierra un ciclo y da lugar a dos nuevas cooperativas: Farox (farox.coop) y Lawal (lawal.coop).
Ambas llevan en su origen la experiencia, los vínculos y los valores construidos durante este recorrido, y seguirán aportando al desarrollo de tecnología con compromiso social.
Agradecemos a todas las personas e instituciones que han acompañado nuestra historia y que continuarán formando parte de esta red, ahora con nuevos caminos y más oportunidades de colaboración.

🌍 Third and last stop: We met with our friends from Patio Network

Today we want to share with you the exciting closing of our international Intercoop mission. The third and last stop was in the framework of the event "Cooding," where we had the pleasure to meet face to face with our friends from the global network Patio Network. During this meeting, we had the opportunity to chat, share our realities, define objectives and design the next steps in our international collaboration.

The cooperatives present at this event were Animorph (UK), Albatros (Turkey), Camplight (Bulgaria), Diciannove (Italy), StartinBlox (France), Nayra, Redjar, Fiqus and Coodesoft (Argentina). It was an enriching and valuable experience, as we were able to learn first-hand about the perspectives and challenges they face in their respective countries. This interaction allowed us to strengthen our ties and build a solid foundation for future collaborations.

We came away from this experience with an incredible amount of knowledge and a greater understanding of the global dynamics of tech cooperativism. We are excited to continue working to strengthen our global network and to pursue joint projects that benefit our local and global communities. 🌎💪

We thank all the participants for their support and commitment to this international mission. We would also like to give special thanks to Ana Aguirre from the Tazebaez cooperative for helping us to build spaces where we can gather, to Francesca Martinelli from Doc Servizi cooperative for helping with the organization of the event, to the colleagues at Fairbnb for helping us with the accommodation and to CECOP for organizing this event and inviting us to participate.

🌍 Second Destination: Bologna

We are excited to tell you that Agustin Recouso, co-worker and data engineer at Fiqus - Cooperativa de Software, participated in COODING - COOperative Digital Improvement and Networking Growth event in Bologna, Italy.

The event was spread over two days, and on the first day, we had the participation of cooperatives, interested organizations, CECOP and Fondazione Centro Studi Doc. On that day, Agustin Recouso gave an inspiring talk sharing the experience of Fiqus, FACTTIC and Patio Network.

On the second day, CECOP organized an exclusive call for technology cooperatives interested in networking- Patio Network and other local cooperatives joined us, and this second day was equally exciting and full of opportunities!

🌍 First Destination: 🇪🇺

From September 27 to 29, our partner Nicolás Dimarco was invited to the Policy Forum on Development (PFD) in Brussels to represent Fiqus Coop, FACTTIC and Patio Network.

The PFD is an exclusive event held every two years in Europe and, only once a decade, opens its doors to participants from all over the world 👏 It brings together a wide range of actors, including representatives of civil society, local authorities, business and professional associations, as well as leaders of the European Union and its Member States. This is a unique opportunity to influence development policies and work together on a more equitable world.

During the event, we presented a talk on how to reduce inequalities along the digital transformation processes. We took the opportunity to share our vision on how to build more inclusive technology for development. The main objective of our presentation was to impact funding policies to develop projects with a social impact that help reduce overall inequalities in modern society.

The panel was moderated by Paula Martins, Manager of the Social and Environmental Justice Program, Association for Progressive Communications Canada.

🌍✈️ We have returned from an incredible international cooperation trip around Europe, representing Facttic - Federación Argentina de Cooperativas de Tecnología and Our partners, Nicolás Dimarco and Agustin Recouso, embarked on this exciting adventure.

Together with an outstanding Argentine committee formed by Lucila Dominguez from Nayra - Cooperativa de desarrollo digital , Manuel Leiva, Romeo Jovel from Redjar. Desarrollo de Software, and Nicolás Langiano from Coodesoft, we toured three inspiring destinations:

In Brussels, we participated in the Policy Forum on Development (PFD). During the event we participated by presenting a talk about how to reduce inequalities throughout the digital transformation processes. We took the opportunity to share our position on how to build more inclusive technology for development. The main objective of the talk is to have an impact on funding policies to develop projects with social impact that help reduce the general inequalities of modern society.

Agustin Recouso then took part in a panel at Cooding, where the role of "innovative cooperatives" and how they use technology according to cooperative principles was discussed. Agustin shared the experience of Fiqus and in this exciting dialogue.

Finally, in Italy we met in person with our colleagues from Networks Patio It was a moment of sharing knowledge, job opportunities and resources, strengthening our passion and commitment to cooperation.

Patio Network brings together from around the world in solidarity, with the goal of democratizing the sector. We are delighted to be part of this initiative.
