Mayday Graz is an antifascist group based in Graz, the capital of the Austrian province of Styria.

Our group was founded in February 2000 shortly after the Conservative People’s Party (ÖVP) and the far-rightwing Freedom Party (FPÖ) formed a government. During that time, the group, consisting mainly of younger people of a variety leftwing backgrounds, played a vital role in organising the protest which took place in Graz, mostly in cooperation with like-minded groups. Even after the first wave of demonstrations gradually died down, the group continued in its efforts to fight the law changes issued by the right-wing government.
