➡️ ENGLISH BELOW

Was hat Dich zuletzt unerwartet erwischt?

—— ENGLISH ⬇️

Grief isn’t linear. It comes in waves, sometimes gentle, sometimes with full force, often without warning.

A scent, a song, someone’s handwriting. And suddenly the pain is right there again. That’s not a sign that you’re “not coping.”

What caught you off guard most recently?

➡️ ENGLISH BELOW

—— ENGLISH ⬇️

When your second parent dies, something shifts that hardly anyone talks about. Suddenly, there’s no one left “ahead” of you.

No childhood home to go back to. No one left who sees you, unconditionally, as their child. That’s its own kind of loss, even when you’ve been a grown-up for decades.

Do you know this feeling? Send this to someone who does too.

➡️ ENGLISH BELOW

—— ENGLISH ⬇️

The well-known stages of grief can help you understand grief. But they’re not a roadmap you have to work through step by step.

There’s no right order. No “I should be further along by now.” Heavy days and lighter moments take turns, sometimes several times a day.

Save this for the days you think you’re doing it wrong.

➡️ ENGLISH BELOW

„Zieh Dir was Warmes an.“ „Ruf an, wenn Du angekommen bist.“

Welchen Satz hat Deine Mama oder Dein Papa immer gesagt?

—— ENGLISH ⬇️

Her voice, her laugh, the way she said your name. So many grieving people are afraid of losing exactly that.

A small invitation: today, gather voice messages, videos and voicemail greetings, and back them up twice. Write down the things she always said in a notebook. “Wear something warm.” “Call me when you get there.”

What’s the one thing your mom or dad always used to say?

20/10/2026

➡️ ENGLISH BELOW

Link in Bio.

—— ENGLISH ⬇️

“I wasn’t there.” A sentence that stays with so many grieving people for years.

In hospice work, you hear it again and again: some people die right when everyone has stepped out of the room for a moment. And the love between you is not measured in the last minute.

If you’re carrying this guilt, you’re allowed to talk about it. I can meet with you within 48 hours, weekends included. Link in bio.

➡️ ENGLISH BELOW

—— ENGLISH ⬇️

Two years ago today, my Dida passed away. Dida is Croatian for grandpa.

I was thousands of miles away. No last time holding hands, no being in the same room. Just video calls and voice messages. For a long time, I thought a goodbye from far away didn’t really count. Now I know: connection doesn’t always need the same room.

Who are you lighting a candle for today? Write their name in the comments. 🕯️

➡️ ENGLISH BELOW

—— ENGLISH ⬇️

Part 1 of my series “Please don’t say this to someone who’s grieving.”

The longer someone lived, the more life is woven around them. More memories, more rituals, more conversations. That doesn’t make the goodbye easier.

Instead of trying to comfort, you can simply show interest: “What was she like?” “What did you love about him?” That opens a space instead of closing it.

What did someone say to you while you were grieving that really hurt?

19/10/2026

➡️ ENGLISH BELOW

—— ENGLISH ⬇️

Losing your mom or dad at 50 is “the natural order of things.” That’s what people say. And still it feels like the ground just gave way.

You were their child before you were anything else. That part of you is grieving now. And it doesn’t need permission.

Send this to someone who just lost their mom or dad and feels they have to justify their grief.

18/10/2026

➡️ ENGLISH BELOW

—— ENGLISH ⬇️

Grief isn’t just a feeling. It shows up in the body: exhaustion, tightness in your chest, sleepless nights, a foggy mind.

If this is you right now, you’re not “too sensitive.” Your body is responding to one of the biggest ruptures a person can go through.

Where do you feel your grief in your body? Save this for the days you doubt yourself.

18/10/2026

➡️ ENGLISH BELOW

—— ENGLISH ⬇️

Reaching for your phone. The text you were about to send. The moment you remember no one will answer anymore.

Whether it’s your mom, your dad, or another person you love: so many people I work with describe exactly this. And almost all of them ask: Is this normal? Yes. Your love still knows every road that led to them.

What would you tell them today? Feel free to share it in the comments. 💜
