🚒 HIGH FIRE DANGER - MONDAY 12/10/26 🚒

Abermain Fire Station is urging our community to be prepared, with high Fire Danger forecast for Monday across the Greater Hunter.

Hot, dry conditions combined with fresh north-westerly winds will create dangerous fire conditions throughout our area. There is also the potential for dry thunderstorms during the afternoon, which may produce little to no rainfall and increase the risk of fire starts.

🔥 A Total Fire Ban will be in place from midnight.

Now is the time to: ✅ Review and discuss your bush fire survival plan
✅ Ensure your property is prepared and fire-ready
✅ Reconsider travel through bush fire risk areas
✅ Stay up to date with the latest warnings and incidents

If a fire starts and you or your property are not prepared to the highest level, leave early and relocate to a safer place well before fire impacts your area.

Please stay alert, look out for your neighbors, and report any signs of fire immediately by calling 000.

For the latest warnings and information, download the hazards near me app.

👨‍🚒 FREE HELMET!👨‍🚒

**Some conditions apply. 😂

Mainly…
You have to apply, get selected, complete the required training and become an On-Call Firefighter first.

So perhaps "free helmet" isn't our strongest offer.

But what you could get is:
🔥 New skills
🚒 New experiences
🤝 A great team around you
❤️ The opportunity to help your community
👨‍🚒 And eventually… that helmet.

And if you're lucky, it might have a pretty good number on it.
202. 😉
