At 12pm on Thursday 28 May, the Ceduna Central Business District (CBD) has been gazetted as a declared shopping precinct.
The area is defined as;

Today, SAPOL joined the South Australian Police Historical Society and the Farina Restoration Group to unveil a memorial plaque honouring Mounted Constable Richard William Spicer at the historic Farina Police Station site.
Mounted Constable Spicer was fatally injured on 28 June 1884 during mounted target practice near Farina. At just 34 years old, he is remembered for his dedication and service in some of South Australia’s most remote regions.
Assistant Commissioner Ian Parrott joined Farina Restoration Group Chairman Bill Brock and South Australian Police Historical Society President Bill Prior to officially unveil the plaque, acknowledging the importance of preserving SAPOL’s history and honouring those who served before us.
Today’s unveiling forms part of this year’s Police Foundation Day commemorations. The memorial plaque will remain at the Farina Police Station site as a lasting tribute to Mounted Constable Spicer and his contribution to policing in South Australia.
