3 years of Brooke at Dara 💙

Every now and then you make a decision in business that, looking back, you realise changed everything.

Hiring Brooke was one of those decisions for me.

Three years ago, Brooke joined Dara working on the ground, supporting our clients. Today, watching her grow into our Operations team and become such an important part of Dara is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Over the years, people have come and gone, roles have changed and Dara has grown enormously. But in such a relatively short amount of time, Brooke has had one of the biggest impacts on this business and on me as a leader.

She just gets it.

She understands disability. She understands aged care. She’s worked on the ground, so when she makes decisions operationally, she understands what those decisions actually mean for the person receiving support and for the worker walking through their door.

But more importantly, she genuinely cares.

She cares about our clients. She cares about our people. She cares about Dara and what we’re trying to build.

Finding someone you can trust with something you've poured so much of yourself into is incredibly rare. Brooke has become someone I can hand things to and know that she’ll protect the standard, the culture and the people behind it.

Watching her confidence, leadership and capability grow has been bloody awesome.

Three years in, and hiring you remains one of the best decisions I’ve made at Dara.

I can't wait to see where the next three take you, Brooke. 💙
