The Convent History

The school room on the right and a convent of four small rooms were erected in 1882. This provided a room for music teaching and three rooms to accommodate three nuns. A verandah was added to the convent in 1906. In 1927 the additions to the left were built to give the nuns better facilities, including a bathroom. The school closed in 1970.
