We're celebrating World Milk Day in the office today! 🥛🐄
World Milk Day is celebrated globally each year on 1 June, recognising the role milk and dairy play in nutrition, communities, jobs and economies.
For World Milk Day 2026, Dairy Australia is celebrating the women behind your morning milk. Across Australia, women are central to dairy farming, producing the fresh, nutritious milk enjoyed every day while managing farm businesses, caring for animals, supporting families and contributing to regional communities.
This year, we’re encouraging Australians, industry partners and dairy supporters to take part by celebrating their own milk moment and recognising the farmers behind it.
Whether it’s hosting a morning tea, sharing a coffee, smoothie, milk-based recipe or post-workout drink, World Milk Day is an opportunity to celebrate the people, care and commitment behind Australian dairy. Join us in celebrating the women helping power Australian dairy!

Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli STEC 🧫
(STEC) are a group of bacteria that can cause severe foodborne illness in humans. Specific E-Coli species, including E-Coli O157:H7, produce potent toxins that can damage the lining of the digestive tract and can lead to life-threatening complications.
STEC organisms are highly infectious and can be spread through contaminated food (such as ground beef), unpasteurised milk and juice, leafy greens and sprouts, and some smallgoods. They can also be transmitted through animal and human contact or through contaminated water.
Summit Laboratory Services offer STEC screening, using advanced molecular techniques, to identify the presence of E-Coli O157:H7 and the specific serogroups that have been identified as critical for human health.
Contact us at [email protected] or by calling 1300 386 811 to enquire about Escherichia coli (STEC) testing today www.summitlabservices.com.au
