It's Fave Book Friday and this week, Catherine is reviewing 'The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny' by Kiran Desai:

"I loved this beautifully written, sprawling novel that blends family saga, love story, and coming-of-age narrative. It follows Sonia and Sunny, two Indians separately trying to make their way in America, while weaving in the lives of their family members, friends, and lovers. Loneliness appears in many forms throughout the story, but I was particularly struck by how well Desai captures the feeling of being an outsider in a foreign country and the struggle to find a sense of belonging even when returning home."

It's Fave Book Friday and Doris is reviewing 'Healthy High Protein' by Dr Rupy Aujla.

"Protein may be the latest buzzword, but Dr Rupy Aujla shows that understanding and using it well is about far more than trends - it's about building a foundation of lifelong health through simple, joyful cooking. Whether you’re looking to boost your energy, support your gut, maintain strength, or simply cook more nourishing meals at home, I highly recommend this book!".

For Fave Book Friday this week Nicole is reviewing 'Project Hail Mary' by Andy Weir.

"I gave in to the hype and read 'Project Hail Mary', and its popular for a good reason! Rydland Grace wakes up in a strange area with tubes in all sorts of places, with no memory of who he is or why he's
there. You get to follow along as he explores his world and starts to remember how he got here. Its a really good way to introduce the sci-fi world he's in without overwhelming you (the reader!) with information. Its got a really nice and hopeful ending. 10/10 would cry again."

For Fave Book Friday this week, Nicole is reviewing 'The importance of being miserable' by Eamon Evans.

"This was one of the funniest things I've read for quite a while - ironic for a book with such a sad sounding title. Eamon discusses what humans have found their purpose in life is (staying alive, for the most part), and how the recent relentless pursuit of happiness might actually be making us miserable. It's a witty and thought provoking book about what we decide the meaning of life is.".
