From today 20 October 2026, the maximum number of holds that can be placed on physical items will change from 30 to 15.

What does this mean for me?

- If you currently have fewer than 15 holds, no action is required.

- If you currently have more than 15 holds, your existing holds will remain in place. You will not be able to place additional holds until your total number of holds falls below 15.

- Suspended holds count towards the hold limit.

🌟 Being digital in action at Victor Harbor Library!

On Thursday 8 October, we celebrated our 2026–27 being digital partnership with Skills SA and Telstra at a special event held during Country Cabinet.

The Hon Kyam Maher, Lucy Hood MP, Telstra Regional General Manager SA/TAS Michael Patterson, and City of Victor Harbor Mayor Moira Jenkins joined more than 30 local residents for a booked-out AI and You digital skills session, and even got involved themselves!

Thanks to our generous partners, being digital will be delivered at Victor Harbor Library and more than 35 regional libraries across South Australia until 30 June 2027, helping more people build their digital skills and confidence. 💻📱

Being digital is delivered in partnership with Telstra and the Government of South Australia through LibrariesSA and the Department of State Development.
