📱 Wait Mate Parent Session – Supporting Families with Kids & Smartphones

We’re pleased to welcome Wait Mate to our Wynn Vale School community to offer a FREE parent and carer session focused on navigating kids and smartphones.

Wait Mate provides practical, honest and no-judgement information to help families better understand the challenges of smartphones and work out what feels right for their family.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The session is open to parents, carers and grandparents of R–6 students.

📅 Bookings are essential and places are limited.

💙🌿 Grandparent / Special Person Open Morning 🌿💙

We are excited to invite our grandparents and special people to join us for a special morning at Wynn Vale School! 🏫💙

📅 Tuesday 3rd November
📚 Classrooms open: 9:00–9:30am
☕ Light refreshments: 9:30–10:20am in the staffroom

Our special visitors are invited to come into classrooms, spend some time with our students and join in their learning. 📖✏️🧩

We know how important grandparents and other special people are in the lives of our students, and we are looking forward to welcoming them into our school and sharing a little of what makes our Wynn Vale community so special. 🥰🌳

It's Term 4 and we know what that means.......WELLBEING WEDNESDAY is BACK!! We look forward to seeing as many of the school community tomorrow morning to start our day engaging in some mindfulness laps around the oval.

Wishing all of our wonderful Year 5 and 6 students participating in tonight’s Festival of Music performance the very best of luck! 🌟

You have worked incredibly hard throughout the year preparing for this special night, and we know you will represent Wynn Vale School with pride. Most importantly, enjoy every moment of this amazing experience and have fun performing together! 🎤🎵

A huge thank you also to Michelle Healtie, our choir teacher, and Steph Henderson for the time, encouragement and support they have given our students throughout their rehearsals.

💛 R U OK? Day 💛

Today, we recognise R U OK? Day an important reminder that a simple conversation can make a difference.

At Wynn Vale School, we talk often about the importance of kindness, connection and looking out for one another. Our Wynn Vale Way of Being, Be Kind, reminds us that sometimes kindness can be as simple as noticing someone, checking in and taking the time to listen. 💙

R U OK? Day is also a great opportunity for families to continue these conversations at home. Asking 'Are you OK?', listening without judgement and making time to really hear the answer can help our children understand that it’s okay to talk about how they are feeling. 🫶

Today, we encourage everyone in our Wynn Vale community to check in with someone a friend, colleague, family member or neighbour.

💙 Happy Father’s Day from everyone at Wynn Vale School! 💙

Today we celebrate all the wonderful dads, grandads, stepdads, uncles and special people who make such a difference in the lives of our children.

Thank you for your love, support, encouragement, guidance and belief in our children. You help them grow, learn and become the amazing young people they are. ⭐️

We also recognise that Father’s Day can be a difficult day for some. 💙 For those who are missing a dad, grandad or special person, who have experienced loss, we are thinking of you too. Today is a reminder that families come in many different forms, and what matters most is the love, care and connection we share. 🫶

Whatever today looks like for you, we hope it brings moments of love, connection and kindness. 💙🌿
