Now Open: SA Health Grants for Seniors $5000 - $10 000!

Grants for Seniors (GFS) funds opportunities for older South Australians to actively contribute to an age friendly state.

Grants of up to $5,000 can pay for goods like equipment, materials or consumables that stimulate activity and social engagement for older people.

Up to $10,000 can be used for cultural, social, educational or sporting project activities encouraging older South Australians to engage with the community.

Children's Hospital Foundation Research and Grants Update 13/02/2018

Children's Hospital Foundation Research Grant Now Open!
In partnership with Woolworths, The Foundation is funding up to 5 Nutrition-Related Stimulus Project Grants which come with financial assistance of $80,000 as well as up to $20,000 to fund health services research support for their proposal.
Proposals integrating one or more of the following research themes will be highly regarded:
• Increasing fruit and vegetable consumption with measurable outcomes and impact
• Dietary requirements (i.e. food combinations) to maximise health outcomes at specific ages
• Impact of diet on brain development and learning, mood and mental health
• Childhood eating behaviours and habits (“picky eating”)
• Prevention and/or management of food allergies
• Role of diet on gut health and microbiome and how this affects children’s health
• Infant feeding

Smart Cities and Suburbs Program 07/02/2018

A significant funding opportunity is on the horizon through Regional Development Australia, opening in March 2018.

Maximum funding amount is $5 million. Minimum is $100 000.

The program funds projects that apply innovative smart technologies which generate, store, communicate and process data to target urban challenges.

Additionally, projects must involve the innovative application of knowledge, hardware or software that is new to the organisation, the local government area, city, region or country or delivers an outcome which has not previously been realised in your community or extends or deploys an existing smart technology in a novel way.

The Bennelong Foundation grants round is now open and accepting applications Australia wide! Applications close on 1 August 2016, and The Foundation's current focus for this funding round is as follows:

Education, training and employment - supporting organisations that offer innovative programs to encourage people to take advantage of learning, training and education opportunities in order to further lasting employment prospects

Migrant and Indigenous community welfare - supporting migrant and Indigenous social cohesion, youth issues and family preservation, health, education and training, employment and addressing issues of cultural identity and cultural conflict
