Last Thursday we officially opened St Louis Homes Aldinga Beach. 🏠

This house was built by G5, a division of Kennett Builders. The house was named Jack’s House, honouring Jack Kennett, father of James and Scott, the current directors. Like St Louis, Kennett Builders is a long-established and successful family business, and St Louis has entrusted them with a number of projects.

There are now five St Louis Homes in operation, with three more nearing completion. These homes significantly improve the lives of those living with Younger Onset Dementia, as well as relieving pressure on their families.

This week, we are celebrating International Day of Older Persons and South Australia’s ‘Week of Ageing Well’.

This year’s theme, ‘Building Age-Friendly Connected Communities’, is a lovely reminder that ageing well is about so much more than getting older.

It’s about having people around you. Feeling connected to your community. Continuing to do the things you love.

And having the choice and support to live life on your terms.

At St Louis Care, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live well, feel valued and remain connected to the people and places that matter most. 💙

We recently attended the Flinders University Careers Festival, where students had the opportunity to learn about the exciting career opportunities available with St Louis Allied Health.

Did you know there is currently a two year wait in Port Lincoln to see an Occupational Therapist? St Louis Allied Health is helping to make a real difference for people living in regional South Australia, particularly across the Eyre Peninsula.

Just this week, St Louis Allied Health completed its NDIS audit process and was recommended for best practice. Fewer than 1% of providers achieve this recognition, making it an incredible achievement that we are very proud of.

On Saturday, St Louis Home Care and Allied Health staff, along with the beautiful Wendy and a couple of our nursing home residents, attended the Ladies Day President’s Lunch at Sturt Football Club to cheer on both of the Double Blues men’s matches — and what a fabulous win for both teams! 💙🩵
