Leading the way with AI in Aged Care

At St Louis Care, our aim is to always be a step ahead of the curve in both our client interactions, business operations and government compliance.

As an early adopter of AI in Aged Care, CEO Maris Naish and BOM Kai Schmidt were invited as keynote speakers at the “AI & Technology in Aged Care Forum” in Sydney last week. They shared insights from their AI implementation journey, highlighting how technology is reducing administrative burden and supporting frontline care.

Heidi, our chosen AI platform, has proven to be a great tool to assist our staff to spend more of their valuable time caring for residents and clients by assisting with report writing and care plan documentation – giving our staff more valuable face-to-face time with those in our care.

Happy International Nurses Day!

At St Louis Care, we are proud to celebrate our wonderful nurses and the incredible difference they make every day. Thank you for the compassion, dedication and professionalism you bring to the care of our residents, clients and community.

This year’s International Nurses Day theme, “Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives,” recognises the vital role nurses play in improving health outcomes and strengthening communities. It is also a reminder of the importance of supporting and empowering our nursing workforce so they can continue delivering the high-quality care that changes lives every day.

Thank you for the care and support you provide each and every day. We are so grateful for all that you do. 💙

Mother’s Day in Australia began in 1924, when Janet Heyden encouraged people to bring a little kindness to elderly mums in hospitals.

Today, we celebrate all the wonderful mothers and grandmothers in our St Louis Care community. Thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do – you mean so much to us.

For those missing your mum today, we’re thinking of you and sending our love 💙

Healthy ageing looks different for everyone, but in aged care, it’s about dignity, connection and quality of life every single day. 💙

This National Healthy Ageing Day, we celebrate the strength, stories and resilience of our residents and clients. This year’s theme, "Keep doing what matters", highlights how healthy ageing can help people stay strong, independent, and able to continue doing what’s important to them as they age. From meaningful conversations and shared laughter to gentle exercise and personalised care – every moment matters.

At St Louis Care, our goal is to provide support that helps you feel valued, respected and empowered to live well, because healthy ageing is about more than years; it’s about living those years with purpose.

Community connection plays such an important role in aging well and maintaining a great quality of life. 💙

On Saturday, we took a group of St Louis Nursing Home residents to watch Sturt Football Club take on Glenelg in a Premiership rematch. While it wasn’t the result the Double Blues were hoping for, it was still a fantastic day filled with excitement, connection and great company.

Throughout the month, our Victor Harbor Home Care clients have also been out and about – shopping, sharing lunch and enjoying great conversation together.

These moments matter. Whether it’s cheering on a team, a trip to the shops, or simply coming together over a meal, connection is at the heart of what we do.

These special photos capture the joy of being out and about, making friends and staying connected with the community.

At St Louis Home Care, we’re proud to have a wonderful team of Allied Health professionals — Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Dietitians 💛

Our team supports people to do the things they want and need to do in everyday life. When you’re feeling anxious, stressed or overwhelmed, it can become much harder to engage in the activities that matter most. One simple but powerful tool we often use is mindfulness.

Mindfulness strategies can support people to:

• Increase focus and engagement in daily tasks ✨
• Wind down before bed to support better sleep 😴
• Manage overwhelming environments, like busy shopping centres 🛒

Small strategies can make a big difference to participation, confidence and independence in everyday life. Try these 5 steps today!

Happy Easter from everyone at St Louis Care🐣

Historically Chickens have been associated with Easter as a symbol of "New Life", our St Louis Nursing Home residents have certainly enjoyed watching the new chicks hatching and chirping in their enclosure, one of the recent additions to the activities on offer.

Wishing you a wonderful Easter – whether you’re spending time with family and friends, enjoying a quiet break or indulging in a few sweet treats!

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible team who continue to provide care and support throughout the holiday— we’re so grateful for all that you do. 💛🐥

St Louis Nursing Home resident Lorna, has been following Sturt Football Club since she was 20 years of age. Lorna turns 109 on April 8th, not far behind Sturt, who are celebrating their 125th birthday this year! How amazing! 💙

St Louis Care proudly supports the Double Blues and is very thrilled to sponsor the club for a third consecutive year.

We wish all the teams the best of luck for the '26 season. Best of luck the Senior Men for Round 1 V Norwood on Friday March 27th at Coopers Stadium and to the Women's League who have their first hit out V The Eagles at Maugham Thiem Kia Oval on Saturday April 18th.
