BreastScreen SA has free interpreters available!

From the moment a woman makes an enquiry or books an appointment, interpreters can help make the process easier for women who speak another language at home. Women can request a telephone interpreter to assist with booking, and during this process, they’re also asked whether they would like a female interpreter to attend their clinic appointment.

BreastScreen SA is South Australia's dedicated breast cancer screening program, providing free screening mammograms (breast X-rays) every 2 years to women aged over 40. Our service screens around 100,000 women each year, aiming to detect breast cancer at an early stage, often before it can be felt.

Sturt's desert peas, typically red and black, are growing pink, white and purple flowers in northern SA this year!

The flower is the flora emblem of South Australia, which is why we chose to include them in our 'Spring into Action' campaign imagery.

We've been enjoying watching spring bloom around us as we promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.
