A milestone moment for VAWT-X Energy
We’re honoured to be featured in Create Digital for leading what’s being called a “silent revolution” in wind technology.
From concept to trial, this journey has been about vision, persistence, and collaboration. To see our story recognised on a national stage is a huge boost — not just for our team, but for everyone who believes in smarter, cleaner, more sustainable energy.
A special thank you to Flinders University’s AWET research group and all our partners who’ve backed us along the way.

We’re thrilled to share that VAWT‑X Energy’s next‑generation 6 kW vertical‑axis wind turbine prototype was just featured on ABC Australia News!
The three‑month trial south of has successfully helped power a real‑world construction site — proving its potential as a quieter, more adaptable solution for decentralised energy. With interest already rolling in from wineries, farmers, small businesses, and manufacturers, we’re on track to start manufacturing a commercial version by early next year, right here in South Australia. The future of sustainable, off‑grid energy is taking shape!

Key Highlights (all from ABC News, August 9 & 10, 2025)
The 6 kW vertical‑axis prototype helped power crews working on Main South Road in Adelaide’s south during a three‑month trial.
VAWT‑X and Flinders University have garnered interest from wineries, small manufacturers, businesses, and farmers.
VAWT‑X wants to commence local manufacturing in early 2026, aiming to keep costs around AUD 36,000 (plus installation).
