A big win for Bowden! 🏆

Bowden has won the 2026 UDIA SA Masterplanned Communities Award, marking a significant milestone for a transformation more than a decade in the making.

Once 11 hectares of former industrial land, Bowden has grown into one of Adelaide’s most vibrant and connected communities, helping reshape apartment living and urban renewal in Adelaide. It’s been a collective effort, with 24 developers, 20 builders and 21 architects contributing to Bowden over the years, alongside many consultants, contractors and industry partners.

There was more to celebrate on the night, with UnitingSA’s Uniting on Second also recognised with the Affordable Housing Award.

Congratulations to everyone who has played a part in shaping Bowden into the community it is today.

The UDIA is the peak representative body of the urban development industry.

Let’s come together for Puddle Jumpers SA.

Our nearby neighbours at Puddle Jumpers SA are rebuilding after the devastating fire at their building and op shop, and the community is coming together to help.

Alix the Celebrant and Matthew Vercoe Celebrant have joined forces to organise a charity quiz night at Plant 4 Bowden on Tuesday 27 October, with 100% of proceeds going directly to Puddle Jumpers.

Expect plenty of laughs, friendly competition, prizes, auctions, games and generous contributions from local businesses. Bring a team of 2 to 8 people, gather your friends and enjoy a great night while supporting an incredible South Australian organisation.

Bierfest is coming to Bowden.

Bowden Brewing is bringing a little Oktoberfest spirit to the neighbourhood for one big weekend, with German-style beers, communal tables and plenty of stein-swinging fun.

There’ll even be a Stein Holding Championship, with a $200 bar tab up for grabs. Yes, that means holding a stein the size of your head for the chance to win.

Steins are limited, so if you're keen to raise a glass, gather your friends and book ahead.

Your city. Your run. And a coffee stop in Bowden.

The Greenway offers a 14km route from Adelaide Railway Station through to Port Adelaide, following the train line and passing right through Bowden.

This shot from Runs of Adelaide captures the route running past Bowden Station, with APlace Coffee in Bowden making a pretty good spot to refuel along the way.

Another reminder of just how easy it is to explore Adelaide from Bowden, whether you're running, walking or riding.
