WELCOME BACK TO TERM 4!

We hope all our LNPS families have enjoyed a wonderful and restful school holiday break! We are excited to welcome everyone back tomorrow for what promises to be another fantastic and action-packed term!

Term 4 is always a busy and exciting time at LNPS, with plenty of opportunities for learning, celebrating achievements and coming together as a school community.

FINAL WEEK OF TERM 3!

We’ve made it to Week 10! A big congratulations to Pierson on taking out the Badenoch Sunshine Trophy - LNPS Sports Day House Cup! 🏆👏

There’s still plenty happening before we wrap up the term, including Hockey Clinics, Footsteps and our Whole School Assembly, featuring the September AOTM celebrations.

📌 A reminder that Friday is an early dismissal at 2:10pm.

🌟 Stars on Stage!! What a night!!

On Tuesday 15th September, our wonderful Year 5 and 6 Festival Choir performed in the
Primary Schools Festival of Music: Stars on Stage at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Alongside more than 1,300 Year 5 and 6 students from across South Australia, 23 of our students proudly took to the stage, showcasing their enthusiasm, confidence and musical talents. We were also delighted to see Zaydan Sohaib and Louis Leyden represent our school as street percussion artists, demonstrating exceptional dedication and skill. Both Zaydan and Louis are part of the opening number Sing! and are performing in all four concerts.

The Primary Schools Festival of Music is a treasured South Australian tradition that brings students together through artistic excellence, cultural diversity and social inclusion. Experiences like these not only create lasting memories but also help students develop confidence, teamwork and resilience. Singing and music participation have also been shown to support learning by strengthening concentration, memory, listening skills and creativity.

This year’s concert was a truly unforgettable experience. Audiences were thrilled by energetic guest performances, outstanding musicianship from the orchestra and troupe, and a vibrant repertoire spanning a range of musical genres. Whether it was smashing out exciting anthems like Sing!, I Feel Like Dancing and Marcia Medley, or negotiating the challenging repertoire of the Wattle Sky commissioned work, our LNPS students showed tenacity and a true love of singing.

A special thank you to Cheryl Barker for supporting and bringing her boundless humour and enthusiasm to the day - we are so lucky to have your experience and knowledge. Thank you also to our choir parents, with a special shout out to Melissa Tonkin for volunteering at our offsite rehearsal in August. The support and encouragement you give to our choristers at home is such an important part of the choir experience.

We are incredibly proud of all our performers and grateful to be part of such a spectacular celebration of music, learning and public education. 🌟🎶

On Tuesday, the LNPS Girls went along to the Statewide Schools KO Soccer Finals. We are so proud of the girls for making it to the final stages of the competition, giving their best effort and showing great sportsmanship all day.

Semi-Final vs. North Haven Primary School
The girls came close, scoring a goal just after half time to redeem themselves after a tough first half. The cross from Emily was superb to Eden at the back post, who finished in the bottom corner. Conceding only one further goal to the eventual state winners, the game ended 1-3.

3rd - 4th Playoff vs. Willunga Waldorf School
Showing determination to finish the day on a high, the girls yet again succeeded in a penalty shootout to claim 3rd place in the state. We started with confidence and were unlucky not to score on a number of occasions. Lilly was invincible in goals, not letting a single penalty through.

A massive congratulations for going further than any LNPS girls’ team has ever gone before, what an achievement! 🎉

⚽🏆 KO BOYS SOCCER – STATE CHAMPIONS! 🏆⚽

What an incredible Finals Day for our LNPS boys!

In the Semi-Final, the boys faced a very strong and well-drilled Westbourne Park side. Westbourne Park took a deserved 1–0 lead into half-time after a great passage of play and tidy finish into the bottom corner.

The LNPS boys came out firing in the second half, equalising almost immediately after kick-off! From there, the momentum continued, with a goal from a corner followed by an absolute worldie to seal an exciting 3–1 victory and a place in the Grand Final.

Congratulations to Westbourne Park on reaching the Semi-Final and contributing to such a competitive, tightly fought game.

🏆 GRAND FINAL – LNPS v Trinity College

The boys were absolutely pumped heading into the Statewide Grand Final and brought incredible intensity from the opening whistle. They pressed brilliantly as a team, moved the ball with confidence and took their chances when they came.

LNPS raced to a 4–0 half-time lead, scoring some brilliant early goals and putting the pressure on from the outset. The boys maintained their composure in the second half and saw out an outstanding 5–0 victory to become Statewide KO Soccer Champions!

Congratulations to Trinity on a fantastic achievement in reaching the Statewide Final.

We are incredibly proud of our boys, not only for the result, but for the teamwork, effort and commitment they displayed throughout the entire competition this year.

What an achievement boys! Keep Aiming High!
