SAPPA is a recognised & respected association of primary school leaders, providing a valued & distinctive voice for SA government primary schools.

SAPPA is a recognised and respected association of primary school leaders, providing a valued and distinctive voice for South Australian government primary schools. Our purpose is to provide advocacy and support for primary school leaders and to promote and influence primary education, including the development of policies and practices within DECD. There are currently 540 members from approximately 400 sites throughout South Australia. All are highly respected leaders, managers and members of their communities who value the strength, professional development and support provided by their professional body. Members share many characteristics. Typically they are good networkers, intelligent decision makers and respected sources of information.

Today the SAPPA Board paid tribute to long term employee, Christine Perri who is retiring soon. Chris has contributed nearly 25 years administrative service to both SAPPA and APPA. We thank Chris for her dedication, care and professionalism and wish her all the very best for her retirement.

SAPPA was pleased to represent public primary principals at the Ministerial forum on Thriving Kids today. It was great hearing directly from the Hon Katrine Hildyard MP, Minister for Human Services, and Kim Little, CE of the Office of Early Childhood Development. There is a lot happening in this space and many opportunities to ponder and explore. A great team is leading this work.

Kia Ora! Day 2 of the International Confederation of Principals Convention in Auckland NZ and SAPPA Board members Luke Kenny, Tyson Grinham and Tobias O’Connor with the President of the NZ Principals Federation, Jason Miles.

One of the most culturally immersive conference experiences we’re sure to ever experience. The hospitality and generosity from our host nation has been outstanding.

An absolute pleasure and privilege to represent the Australian Government Primary Principals Association at the International Confederation of Principals Council meeting in Auckland, New Zealand. So many wonderful colleagues from across the globe and the sharing of ideas and perspectives is exciting, but also important for sharing our global education advocacy work.
