The Albanese Government welcomes the investigation by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner into the maker of HeyCyan, the app used with Anko smart glasses sold by Kmart.

Australians are rightly concerned about the privacy risks posed by smart glasses. In August, the Attorney-General wrote to the Privacy Commissioner asking that this issue be given top priority.
