We are leading research efforts into building the Internet of Things, connecting objects in the physical world to digital information on the Internet. Pervasive and ubiquitous computing is at the heart of our research where computers will increasingly disappear into all 'Things' around us. Our research focus spans from building tiny computers such as smart dust to revolutionary applications such a

A truly fast and novel distributed fusion method multi-target tracking with networks of sensors with limited observability. A lengthy effort on looking at this hard problem is now seeing the light of day at IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. Read "Distributed Multi-object Tracking under Limited Field of View Sensors" (https://doi.org/10.1109/TSP.2021.3103125).

Our world first randomized control trial (RCT) results funded by the NHMRC (National Health and Medical Research Council) are out (https://doi.org/10.1093/gerona/glab174). Given that we pioneered this, it was a herculean feat that involved so many people across two states to make this happen over 3 years. Thank you all very much. Our results shed light on the role that wearables can play in Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) Units.

We have finally started to tag these cute and fluffy southern hairy nosed wombats! Hoa is up at Swan Reach with David and Bertram from Sciences. Thought we would share a milestone in our drone project with you guys! Basically you need to stun the wombats, they freeze, then you catch them and attach a VHF collar.

TREVERSE: Trial-and-Error Lightweight Secure Reverse Authentication with Simulatable PUFs 23/07/2020

Who cares about noise? Authenticating devices with noisy keys from hardware fingerprints. Our paper accepted to Transaction of Dependable and Secure Computing (1 of the top 2 journals in Security).

TREVERSE: Trial-and-Error Lightweight Secure Reverse Authentication with Simulatable PUFs A physical unclonable function (PUF) generates hardware intrinsic volatile secrets by exploiting uncontrollable manufacturing randomness. Although PUFs provide the potential for lightweight and secure authentication for increasing numbers of low-end Internet of Things devices, practical and secure m...
