It is so important in the busyness of life that we take time to connect to the natural world, be curious, be creative and be part of something bigger than ourselves. Today our reception children engaged in a nature inspired incursion where they were able to create, imagine, explore and discover using the natural world as a provocation, with this experience being tied to their larger inquiry learning. What a delight to be part of.

Such a beautiful morning celebrating the incredible mothers, grandmothers, carers and special people in our students’ lives at our Mother’s Day Breakfast this morning.
In the busyness of our lives it's so important to take the time to slow down for the things that really matter. And this morning we did.
A huge thank you to all staff, volunteers, families and students who helped make the morning such a success. Most importantly, thank you to the amazing peiple we celebrated today for the love, care and support you provide to our children each and every day.
Wishing you all a very happy Mother’s Day this weekend, the students also loved buying something special at our stalls, hopefully they can keep it a secret until Sunday!

We enjoy having fun here at Modbury West, especially on April Fools Day. This morning our year 5/6 teachers, Ms Denni and Ms Krystal, had our Principal, Mr Pathon visit their classrooms to tell the students that the colour run had been cancelled due to the powder being recalled for contamination. The students were very much in a state of shock and quite upset about this, until we informed them it was all a joke. To get Mr Pathon back, they got together and decided to have students one at a time go to his office and ask to borrow a spare hat, which went on and on and on.... They were very pleased with themselves when they finally got to let him know it was an April fools joke!
