Did someone say STRONGEST CAMPAIGN YET!!!? 💚

We’re beyond excited that soon we will be hearing Melanie Selwood’s powerful voice in Parliament, alongside Robert Simms. And, with The Greens best ever Legislative Council result, it’s looking promising for Katie McCusker too.

After running a powerful, joyful, grassroots campaign in Heysen – The Greens are still in the race. Whilst the final results are being counted, there is still a path to victory for Genevieve Dawson-Scott.

The support for The Greens has been growing. Our primary vote has grown, and so far we’re on track for significant swings, while outpolling the Liberals in several seats across the state.

It was all you. Across the state, thousands of people turned out to fight for hope over division. Together, we’ve just delivered the best results in The South Australian Greens’ history.

To our volunteers who’ve given their all - standing out on polling booths, delivering flyers, knocking on doors, making phone calls, and so much more - you made all the difference.

The next four years will be big.
Not just for parliament, but for our movement too.

The work isn’t over.
This is just the beginning of our bold vision for South Australia. Living here shouldn’t cost you the earth. Together, we’re pushing to fix that – and fight for stronger action on the climate crisis. Together, we can do this.

It’s official.

Melanie Selwood has been elected to the Legislative Council.

We cannot wait to hear her strong voice in parliament, pushing for action on the cost of living, housing affordability, and the climate crisis.

As she joins Robert Simms, with a track record of delivering for her community as Deputy Mayor in the Adelaide Hills, and being a leader in the arts, she knows how to turn ideas into action. We’re beyond excited to see what they’ll achieve together.

The next four years will be big.

In a time we’ve seen wealth inequality grow, our environment suffering, and politicians hellbent on dividing us, it’s powerful to see hundreds of thousands of South Australians stand up for hope, not hate.

You made this happen 💚

Every doorknock, chat, phonecall, letterbox drop, and every minute you spent on the polling booths has gotten us to where we are today. You’ve made every single moment count – and you’ve made an impact that will last for years to come.

Now, our legislative council is one Greens member stronger, our movement is stronger than ever, and we're filled with hope for the future.

Together, we can make this a state that puts people before profits, and makes sure no South Australian is getting left behind. Each and every one of us should be able to afford the basics, and we won't stop pushing until that's our reality.

We will always push to protect our climate and environment, so we can all enjoy our beautiful state for generations to come.
