This inspiring planetarium session blends a captivating tour of the cosmos with a vital message of hope and health.
Our astronomer Mary, who is currently navigating her own personal battle with breast cancer, is deeply passionate about sharing her love for the night sky. We aim to raise crucial awareness and encourage early detection within our community, whilst honouring the historic contributions of female stargazers and astronomers.

Come look at the stars, support a meaningful cause, and discover the incredible women who have shaped our understanding of the universe.

Happy September Equinox! Spring has sprung 🌸🌼🌸

This morning at 9:35am the Sun on its Ecliptic path crossed the Celestial Equator marking the September equinox and the start of Spring in the Southern Hemisphere. The entire planet from the North Pole to the South Pole gets roughly equal amounts of day and night as the Sun moves directly over the equator at midday 🌞

A close alignment of crescent Moon and Venus last night at just over 2 degrees apart. A striking sight for many evening walkers. The alignment will repeat again September 14th when they will appear even closer in alignment at 1.2 degrees part.
