This week marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week, a time to reflect on our shared histories. This yearโs theme โAll Inโ calls on all Australians to step off the sidelines and commit to reconciliation every day through actions that create meaningful change.
Veterans SA recognises the South Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander veterans who have served in past conflicts and the more than 700 veterans who continue to contribute to our communities every day.
We also pay tribute to the work of Aboriginal Veterans SA to share the stories of local heroes, creating a deeper understanding of Aboriginal culture, tradition and service among younger generations.

Many experiences in the Australian Defence Force have already built the skills SAPOL relies on every day - leadership, decision-making under pressure and a deep sense of duty.
Policing can offer a pathway to continue serving with purpose, while building a stable and rewarding future in South Australia.
Explore how your skills can transfer at the upcoming Career Information Session on Wednesday night. ๐
Interested in a career with SAPOL?
Our Career Information Session will help you understand what a policing career involves. Learn more about the recruitment process and training directly from a SAPOL member.

On Sunday, we were delighted to join Partners of Veterans Association of Australia (SA Branch) and the local veteran community for a fun day of celebration in honour of Veteransโ Families Day.
This free family event featured a wide range of activities for all ages from wildlife visits and live entertainment to craft stations, facepainting, military vehicles exhibits and more.
It was wonderful for our team to connect with so many veteran families, who stopped by to share messages of support on our display.
