Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are forecast across South Australia this weekend.

Now is a great time to check and clean your gutters where it is safe to do so.

Blocked gutters can cause water to overflow into and around your home, which can lead to costly damage and localised flooding.
Clear gutters, downpipes and drains to prevent water damage to your home or property.

✅Remove leaves and debris
✅Check downpipes are flowing freely
✅Do it safely, or ask for help if needed
A little preparation now can prevent big problems later.

Enfield members had an early start this morning sending a crew to Birdwood. Assisting with the RAA Bay to Birdwood today.

Last night, our crews took part in traffic marshal training delivered by South Australia Police, preparing for our role in supporting the RAA Bay to Birdwood this Sunday! 🚗

Today on Australasian Women in Emergencies Day, we're celebrating the incredible women who make a difference across emergency services in South Australia 🚨

From responding to storms, floods, fires, and rescues, to supporting communities behind the scenes in preparation for emergencies, women play a vital role in strengthening emergency services and building more resilient communities.

Thank you to all the women across SES and state frontline services who volunteer their time, share their skills, and help keep South Australians safe.

Enfield Crews attended to 35 Requests for assistance in our response area yesterday afternoon, with the assistance of Salisbury State Emergency Service and Western Adelaide SES.

Our crew is available 24/7 to respond to the community. Want to play your part? We're currently recruiting new volunteers.

Despite the sunny calm weather we’ve had across South Australia today, we are encouraging the public to prepare for heavy rainfall and gusty winds forecast for large parts of the state tomorrow and over the weekend.

Time to prepare:

Spring has sprung… and your gutters are probably judging you. 👀

Spring is a great time to give your gutters a clean and have a quick look around for any obvious roof damage.

A cracked, broken or missing tile might look harmless, but it can turn into a very unwelcome indoor waterfall when the rain arrives.

So before the next big downpour, give your gutters and roof a check. Just remember, roofs are not the place to test your climbing skills!
