Hi folks the weather forecast is for very windy conditions tomorrow and warm temps before a possible wet change later in the day so all permits are suspended until it comes back down to moderate thanks.

Many thanks to our wonderful vollies for sacrificing their Mother's Day to assist landowners in maintaining their properties and limiting fire hazards. 🔥

Our South Coast vollies engaging with the community at Albany's Historic Whaling Station for an evening of culture and connection at the 'Benang Koondarm- Tomorrow's Dream' celebration. 🔥

As of midnight tonight the SW sector of the City of Albany goes into the restricted/permit season so that means if you wish to burn or light up you'll need a permit from your areas FCO/permit writer's. Also PLEASE! Please! have patience and understand that we are volunteer's and we have families and job's and other commitments so we do this in what spare time we have. Thanks

PROHIBITED BURNING TIME - EXTENSION 🔥🚫

Pursuant to Section 17 of the Bush Fires Act 1954 the City of Albany advises, due to dry seasonal conditions, the Prohibited Burning Period will be extended in the Southwest Sector up to and including 9 April 2026.
