Every Day Matters
If your child is away from school, please let us know as soon as possible. This helps us plan the right support for their learning and wellbeing while they’re away.
Whether it’s due to illness, an appointment, family business, or Sorry Business, it’s important to explain all absences. Regular communication helps us work together to make sure every student stays connected and supported in their learning.
A day here or there might not seem like much, but it adds up over time — and every day really does matter.

🎭 Our Drama students had an incredible time at The Cube on Tuesday, catching the matinee of ‘Shoelace Chaser’ — a production touring from Melbourne Theatre Company! After the show, students got the rare opportunity to meet the cast for a Q&A session.
When students can see world-class performance on their doorstep, ask real questions of real artists, and feel the energy of live theatre — it reminds us why access to professional live theatre here on the border is so important. Thanks to thecubewodonga!

On Thursday, Year 12 HMS students were fortunate to hear from one of their own staff members, Mrs Sarah Miller, a highly accomplished professional trail runner, who presented on periodisation for individual sport. Mrs Miller is an Australian representative in trail running and is currently ranked within the top 40 in the world.
She shared valuable insights into how periodisation is used to structure training programs effectively for peak performance in endurance sports.
Students were able to make strong real-world connections between theoretical concepts and elite sporting practice, deepening their understanding of training principles in individual sport contexts.
The presentation was highly engaging and provided an invaluable learning experience for all students involved. Thank you to Mrs Miller for generously giving her time to speak with the class and share her expertise.

Maliyan Mob, our Wiradjuri Dance group, braved the cold and wet weather to perform at VACCA’s Reconciliation Week event yesterday at Burraja Gallery. A beautiful celebration of culture and community.
