Condolence and Community Support Notice
To all families in Alice Springs,

We acknowledge with sadness the difficult circumstances affecting the passing away of George's wife, Masilina's younger brother in American Samoa and extend our deepest support to them during this time of sorrow.

On behalf of the Committee of the Fijian community in Alice Springs, we sincerely thank our President, Mr Lafi Sa’anga, and Mrs Selesa Sa’anga for their compassionate visit and support to the family.

We invite all members of our community to stand in solidarity with Mr George Nakaora and Mrs Masilina Nakaora by offering support through time, and presence, as we share in their grief.

A community gathering will be held on Saturday, 30 May 2026 at 7:00pm, at or near the residence of Mr Nakaora, for those who are able to attend.

For those unable to attend, contributions may be arranged through Mrs Selesa Nielsen Sa’anga, on 0448 323 484, including PayID options.

We encourage unity, compassion, and prayer for the family during this time.

May God bless and strengthen us all.

Dear beloved families of the Alice Springs Fijian Community,

It is with deep sorrow that I share the sad news we received yesterday regarding the passing of our dear President’s nephew. On behalf of our Fijian Community, I extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr President, Mr Saanga’s family, and the Horner family during this very difficult time of loss and grief.

At this moment, we kindly ask for your understanding and patience, as we wait to hear back from the family.

Please be assured that once all necessary processes have been finalised, I will provide further updates to our community regarding arrangements the family wishes to put in place for mourning, including any gatherings, services, or ways we can come together to support them.

During this time, let us continue to keep the grieving family in our thoughts and prayers, standing together in unity, love, and compassion as a community.

Vinaka vakalevu for your understanding, respect, and support.

With Heartfelt Sympathy.
Publuc Officer.
Lusiana Lotawa.

CMFI Alice Springs church and the Alice Springs Methodist Church had a combine church service on Resurrection Sunday.
During the church service, we pray and also bless Pau Bolatagici, who will be representing the Northern Territory Under 19 Netball team.
There was also lunch, prepared by the ladies after the church service...
Thanking all the Fijian families and our First Nation people who were present in the church service.
