Hamilton Downs Youth Camp

Santa (Rede our Chair) has been to Hamilton Downs Youth Camp to deliver goodies for Christmas to our caretakers.
With thanks to Bill Yan’s office, Darren & Kate @ NT Bakery and Lherre Thepe IGA Northside for helping Santa put it all together. Keeping it local!

And a look at the work our committee did in getting our shade tunnel back up.

2025 Hamilton Downs Youth Camp AGM will be held on the 26th November at 5:30pm at Trezona Accounting Gregory Tce Alice Springs all are welcome to join us fill volunteer positions and assist in the ongoing running of the Premier Youth Camp in Central Australia.

A HUGE THANKYOU to Terri Coccetti for the donation to Hamilton Downs Youth Camp.

For a not for profit organisation, generosity and support of this kind is immeasurable.

It is with much gratitude that we welcome our new care takers Graeme and Gailene to Hamilton Downs Youth Camp.

Welcome them when you see them! 👏

It is with sadness we have to announce that the Alice Spring Longest Desert Lunch will not go ahead this year!

We are lacking volunteers and support, so we are focusing what resources we have directly to the camp this year. If anyone want to volunteer to help out at the camp please contact us, we would love your help.

Maybe next year we can try again.

Just giving everything a rinse before you all arrive for the season ❤️

A huge thank you to the Northern Territory Government and the Community Benefit Fund for their assistance in purchasing new equipment for the camp including a Ride on Mower, Chainsaw and Multi Function Centre (Printer, Scanner etc). This will assist in the ongoing maintenance at the camp and make for a better experience for guests.

Big THANKS to Northern Territory Government for funding our new mower and chainsaw. 12 years from the last one and it has gone to greener pastures to retire.

Out most recent project, constructing a new self contained bunkhouse, has reached its practical conclusion. A huge thank you to the Northern Territory Government through the Community Benefit Fund https://nt.gov.au/community/grants-and-volunteers/grants/community-benefit-fund-major-community-grants for providing a large proportion of funding. Also a thank you to all the trades, suppliers, volunteers and committee members for their assistance.
