We love seeing the wildlife our cameras outside our sanctuary catch. Here is a wild red kangaroo mum and her baby in the pouch. 💕 This was 10.46pm. Red kangaroos are most active during the night and sleep and rest most of the day.

Our dear Freddy looks like he’s just returned from a big gym workout. But really he just loves a little ‘blanky’ to suck on after a big hop around our sanctuary. ☺️🥰

Over time baby kangaroos spend more and more time out of the pouch to strengthen their body. We try to mimic how their mum’s would care for them in the wild.
Little Minga has had an itch we’ve been treating. He’s had a few washes by our wonderful volunteer Judith, and is already feeling a lot of relief. 🩷

Walu loves to hop hop hop with us as we walk around the sanctuary. She’s such a little cute and funny character. 🩷
Our sweet Madeleine grooming herself and lounging about in the warm sun 🩷 A few days ago we posted Madeleine as a tiny baby.
Tiny Bamba licking and kissing sweet Daisy. 💕 This behaviour, while very cute, is an important way for kangaroos to bond. It is especially important between a mum and baby. Bamba and Daisy are orphans, so it’s crucial they have one another to be able to thrive and be happy and healthy.
