Skip bins have been made available across 3 locations, these are for disposal of food waste, general storm waste and residential household waste.

STORM CLEAN-UP SUPPORT ⛈️

To help residents clean up following the storm, ASTC has placed six skip bins across Alice Springs for the community to use.

- Frances Smith Park – 2 skip bins
- Rhonda Diano Oval – 2 skip bins
- Flynn Drive Oval – 2 skip bins

Residents are encouraged to make use of the bins when cleaning spoiled food waste, general storm waste and residential household waste from their properties. Please place waste inside the bins and help keep the surrounding areas clear and safe.

Ten lucky local ratepayers are getting their 2026/27 rates back in their pockets! 🙌

The 2026 Alice Springs Town Council Early Bird Draw has officially been conducted, with 10 lucky winners randomly selected from 1,666 entries. 🥳

Mayor Asta Hill and Acting CEO Nicole Battle drew the winners on Wednesday, 23 September, congratulating everyone who paid their rates early and went into the draw.

A heads up for closure of the Undoolya Causeway whilst repairs are undertaken.

🚧 Undoolya Causeway closure - Friday 18 September

A heads up for anyone travelling through Undoolya Causeway this Friday.

Contractors will be carrying out repairs from 7am Friday 18 September, with the northern lane expected to be closed while works are underway.

The southern lane will remain open, meaning east siders will still be able to get through for the school run and travel into the C*D for work.

Please take care around the work area, follow traffic controls and allow a little extra time for your journey.

Thanks for your patience while we get the causeway sorted! 🛠️

The Newland Dog Park is now officially open! Marigold (our rescue dog from the AS Animal Shelter) got to be one of the first through the gates, and she loved exploring.

This petition around safe fireworks use is being circulated. With Independent MLA Justine Davis agreeing to put before the NT Government for debate.

Many of you have contacted me with concerns about fireworks.
I'm sharing a petition started by a member of our Johnston community which calls for sensible management of fireworks so we can celebrate and keep our community safe at the same time.
