Supports Social Justice Issues Who is Diana Grima? Many of you already know Diana.

She is not a bureaucrat, but a local that has grown up in our community as a committed activist and worker who is ambitious to get more done for us by being elected to Council with your help. Diana’s dad is former Councillor and Deputy Mayor, John Hogg who she has taken inspiration from but Diana is very much her own person who has achieved a lot on her own. Such as joining with the Laverton Trad

❤️ "As a life-long Laverton, Altona Meadows to me this project means so much."

Mayor Diana Grima proudly launched the 'Letters from Laverton' exhibition at Woods Street Art Space on Saturday.

The exhibition - a Make it Happen funded community project - celebrates the history of Laverton through oral histories, images and artefacts shared by the community.

"We might not have the beaches or city views, but there is so much we have to celebrate here in Laverton.

I think the number one thing that stands out to me about Laverton is community.

It’s this sense of community that has kept me around my whole life."

A big thank you to New World Arts for bringing the project together, and everyone who attended the launch. Also, a massive thanks to everyone from the Laverton community who played a part in sharing the stories and history of your special suburb. 🙌

🖼️ This FREE exhibition is open 14, 16 and 21 May from 12pm to 3pm.
Joined with David Southwick MP Brown Gray volunteer John Hogg
