Yesterday, family, friends, and members of the community gathered at the Altona Sports Club to pay their final respects to Kim Walsh at his funeral service held at 10:30am.

Kim was a treasured and respected member of our community, dedicating much of his life to supporting local traders and the wider community. His presence, commitment, and kindness will be deeply missed by many.

May he rest in peace. ❤️

Dear Altona Community,

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Kim Walsh, our original Altona Village Traders President, who, together with his wife Sharon, devoted more than 20 years to guiding, supporting, and shaping the Altona traders into the strong and connected community we know today.

Kim was a deeply respected leader and a much-valued member of our community. He was admired not only for his leadership and vision, but for the genuine warmth, kindness, and care he showed to everyone around him. His dedication to bringing people together and supporting local businesses helped create a sense of unity and community spirit that continues to define Altona today.

Kim’s contribution to our community was truly significant, and his presence, wisdom, and friendship will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him. His legacy will live on through the community he helped build and the many lives he touched along the way.

We wanted to share this sad news with you all and take a moment to acknowledge and honour the important role Kim played in shaping our traders and our wider Altona community.

May he rest in peace. He will always be remembered and never forgotten.
