A century on, the spirit of mine rescue remains as strong as ever.

This week, Singleton will welcome teams from across New South Wales and Queensland for the 62nd Australian Mines Rescue Competition.

As NSW Mines Rescue marks 100 years of service, we're proud to host this year's competition in the Hunter Valley, where our story first began.

Across a range of challenging scenarios, competitors will demonstrate the expertise, teamwork and professionalism that underpin mine rescue and emergency response in Australia's mining industry.

Representing New South Wales:

• Newcastle (Centennial Coal and Delta Coal)
• Hunter Valley (Ashton Coal Operations)
• Southern (GM3 Dendrobium)
• Western (Centennial Coal Springvale)

Good luck to all teams taking part. We look forward to showcasing the skills, commitment and camaraderie that have defined the mine rescue community for generations.
