🚒 THAT’S A WRAP ON THE BAXTER FIRE BRIGADE OPEN DAY! ❤️💛

What a fantastic day! The sun was shining, the coffee was flowing, the ice cream was a hit and our community came out in force!

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who made today such a success. From the local businesses who generously supported our open day to every member of our amazing community who came down, had a chat, enjoyed a coffee and showed their support, we truly appreciate it.

It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces, welcome new ones and, most importantly, see so many families come down and enjoy the day with us. We hope you all had a wonderful time!

🔥 Keen to get involved? We’re always looking for new members, whether you’re interested in becoming a firefighter or joining us as a support member. You don’t have to be a firefighter to make a difference, and we’d love to hear from you!

Once again, thank you for your incredible support. Days like today remind us just how lucky we are to be part of such a wonderful community.

What a cracking day for it! The sun is shining, the coffee is flowing, and the ice cream is ready! 🍦☕

Come on down to Baxter Fire Brigade, enjoy the sunshine and have a chat with your local CFA volunteers.

More importantly, it’s a great opportunity to get prepared and learn how to keep yourself, your family and your property safe throughout the year, especially with the upcoming bushfire season.

🚨Five years on, still no new Baxter station🚨

Five years ago, after advocacy from our brigade, CFA bought land for a new station on the corner of Stotts Lane and Baxter-Tooradin Road.

That land is still empty. CFA hasn't been given capital funding to build it, so our volunteers are stuck in a station that's no longer fit for purpose.

That means:
- training on a service road
- no showers or change rooms
- an engine bay that doesn't safely fit our trucks
- limited storage

Our station sits on the original 1944 site. It was rebuilt in 1974 and extended by our own members in 1991 with community money. It's well loved, but well past retirement.

We need our community to stand with us:

📣 Ask them to fund a new Baxter Fire Station build

🚒 Baxter volunteers have served this community since 1944. It's time to invest in our future.

It is our open day on the 18th of October and we invite you to come and see the current station for yourself.
