✨ Meet the Seasons team: Gay ✨
Volunteering and serving lunch to people experiencing hardship inspired Gay to make a career change. After working across various sectors, she decided she wanted to make a meaningful difference in people's lives every day and became a disability support worker. Following several leadership roles, Gay transitioned into retirement living, where she has continued to make a positive impact, this time on the lives of Seasons residents.
Q: Why would you choose to call Seasons home?
A: I'd choose to call Seasons home because of the people. It's a community where residents are valued, supported and encouraged to live life their way. Every day, I see friendships formed, laughter shared, and genuine care shown by both residents and staff. That strong sense of connection is what makes Seasons feel like home to me.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your role?
A: Building relationships with residents is what I enjoy most. I love helping others and supporting residents in their day-to-day lives. Knowing I've made someone's day a little brighter is what makes my role so rewarding.
Q: What is your pump-up track?
A: Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and The Waves is my go-to feel-good song. Its upbeat, positive energy always puts me in a great mood for the day ahead. Don't Stop Me Now by Queen is another favourite that gives me an extra boost.
