🧡 We dont post about jobs all too often, but this one had a fantastic outcome

3 members of Benalla SES were proud to join a multi-agency cross border search for missing man Daniel Trenchard-Harry yesterday.

We are grateful to hear that Daniel has now been found and is being assessed by a medical team.

This search was a prime example of multiple agencies and volunteers coming together, sharing skills and resources and working as one to support our each other and our community when it matters.

To all those involved, well done on a successful outcome and heres to new friendships formed out in the field. 🧡

🏉🏟️🏆If you’re out on the road over the AFL grand final long weekend, instead of pushing on when you’re feeling tired, pull over and take a power nap.🏉🏟️🏆

‼️Remember your safety is a priority‼️

🛟Key safety tips to remember🛟:

1.🛞Always drive safely🛞
2.‼️DO NOT drink and drive‼️
3.If you feel fatigued pull over for a 15 minute break at one of the rest stops.
Yawning, rubbing your eyes and feeling restless while driving are all signs of fatigue, which can lead to serious road incidents.
Driver Reviver stops are a great place to take
a break.
🚨 If you need emergency assistance, call 000

Whether you’re cheering for Brisbane 🦁, backing Freo ⚓, we want everyone to have a safe and memorable weekend.

Congratulations to our amazing members Laura and Shay for completing their Melbourne firefighter stair climb. Where they climbed 28 floors in up to 25kg of gear.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥳🥳

10/09/2026

Only 1 day to go!!! till our amazing stair climb members start their climb. Good luck!!!!

Laura and Shay will be taking on the 2026 Melbourne Firefighter Stair climb for a second time on September 12th.

Climbing 28 floors wearing 25 kg of kit, for their respective CFA Brigades (Yes they dont just wear orange), to raise vital funds to support Lifeline, Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and 000Foundation.

As first responders we all know someone who has benefited greatly from the support of the above organisations, unfortunately for some of us we know of friends where that support has come too late and they have lost their fight. That is why the girls are climbing!!

If you would like to help the girls reach their goal feel free to click on their individual fundraising links below.

Are you OK? 💛

Today is R U OK? Day, a reminder that a simple conversation can make a real difference.

Our SES volunteers spend a lot of time looking out for our community, but looking after each other matters too. Sometimes the people who seem to be doing just fine might be having a tough time behind the scenes.

So today, check in with a friend, family member, neighbour or workmate.

Ask “Are you OK?” and really listen to the answer.

You don’t need to have the perfect words or be able to fix anything. Sometimes just knowing someone cares is enough to make a difference. 💛

And if you’re the one having a tough time, you don’t have to go through it alone.

From all of us at Benalla Unit, look after yourselves and look after each other. 🧡
