👥 Applications Open for Greater Bendigo Youth Council 2027-2028! 👥

One of the most important things we can do as a community is make sure young people have a genuine seat at the table when decisions are being made.

🌟 That's why applications are now open for the City of Greater Bendigo Youth Council, with up to 18 young people aged 14-25 encouraged to apply for the 2027-2028 term.

Over the years, our Youth Council has made a real impact, providing input into major plans and projects including Bendigo 2050, the Affordable Housing Action Plan, the Climate Change and Environment Strategy, the Managed Growth Strategy, and our Council Plan Mir Wimbul 2025-2029.

💬 Youth Councillors don't just share their views. They represent young people on advisory committees, contribute to important discussions about our future, and help ensure the next generation's voice is heard in local decision-making.

🚀 It's also a fantastic opportunity to build leadership skills, grow confidence, meet like-minded young people, and gain first-hand experience in how local government works.

As someone who is passionate about supporting young people, I'm incredibly proud of the contribution our Youth Council continues to make. Some of the most thoughtful, innovative and community-minded ideas I've heard have come from young people willing to put their hand up and get involved.

🙌 If you're a young person who wants to help shape the future of Greater Bendigo, I'd strongly encourage you to consider applying.

📅 Applications close Monday 9 November 2026.
