Our Emergency Department has experienced significant demand in recent months, but caring for patients is about much more than what happens in ED.

As Emergency Department Consultant Dr Yvonne Higgott explains, behind every patient journey is a team of clinicians, support staff and specialists working together across Bendigo Health to provide safe, timely and coordinated care.

From arrival and assessment through to treatment, recovery and discharge, every part of the health service plays a role in helping patients receive the care they need.

There were smiles all round at Joan Pinder Nursing Home this week as residents from our Gibson Street Complex enjoyed a visit from Farmer Daryl and his mobile farm.

From cuddling kids (baby goats) and lambs to meeting calves, rabbits and kittens, the annual visit brings plenty of joy, sparks treasured memories and creates special moments of connection.

Now in its 20th year, Farm Day is just one of the many ways our dedicated lifestyle coordinators and assistants create moments that matter, caring beyond the bedside.

There was a little extra excitement this year, with WIN News joining in to capture the fun.
