✨ What a beautiful day it is to raise funds for our brigade.

Come down to the Alexandra fountain in bendigo to say hello.

If you happen to be walking past, stop in and have a look at some of the information we have on hand to help you with this upcoming fire season.

We also have a donation tap and go on hand for those who want to donate but don’t have cash on hand.

This Saturday the 17th of October from 8am, members of our brigade will be out at the Alexandra fountain rattling tins to raise much needed funds for our brigade.

Any funds raised go towards upgrading equipment, purchasing new equipment, maintenance of equipment and additional items we require for our station and every day running of the brigade.

This Saturday we will also have a table set up with fire safety information and goodies to give out for anyone who pops into our set up to have a chat.

This morning just before 6am Golden Square crews along with crews from CFA Eaglehawk Fire Brigade and Kangaroo Flat Fire Brigade were paged to support Fire Rescue Victoria station 73 to the St Killians Church fire.

Crews on scene worked hard to limit the spread from the rear of the Church whilst also removing what religious artefacts they could to prevent further damage.

Our thoughts are with the Church’s community after such a devastating fire involving their historic 138 year old building.

Golden Square crews are on scene in Lockwood at a HAZMAT incident which has blocked the Calder Alternate highway.

Please avoid the area and check the best route for your travel.

Crews from CFA, Fire Rescue Victoria, Victoria Police, Environment Protection Authority Victoria, City of Greater Bendigo and Vic roads will be on scene for some time.

Today our members are at the Fountain in town tin rattling to raise funds for our brigade.

The money we raise today will go towards new equipment, maintenance for our current equipment, vehicles and items we require for our station.

If you have time today please come down and see our members even if it’s to say hello.

We will be here until approximately 5pm today.

Any and all support we receive from members of our community is very much appreciated.

Did you know Golden Square provides Fire Equipment Maintenance?

We’re 1 of over 270 Brigades who complete FEM and we’re looking to expand our operations.

Golden Square has professionally trained volunteer firefighters to install and service portable fire equipment to relevant Australian standards and building regulations for the public, business, and industry.

We can provide:

- Maintenance of the full range of fire extinguishers, fire hose, fire hose reels and fire blankets.

- Installation of approved portable fire equipment

- An extensive range of portable fire equipment products at competitive rates for purchase

- Professional and quality service as required under the Essential Services provisions.

- By selecting a CFA brigade to maintain your fire equipment, any revenue generated assists the local brigade in supporting your community
